to Diagnose Hardware
To resolve a hardware related problems perform
the following steps:
· Does the machine have power
· Does the machine POST
· Does the machine Boot completely into Windows or is it
necessary to use Safe Mode
· Check Device Manager for yellow or red marks indicating
a problem with device
· Remove Hardware>>Restart Machine >>let plug
and play detect and reinstall driver
· If problem still occurs current driver on manufactures
web site
· Check for Windows Updates
· If problem persists try swapping a different known good
piece of hardware with current driver.
Software
problems tend to happen all the time...every time…at the
same exact time. When it is determined that it is software related
issue check the following:
· Are there conflicting programs?
· Is the program configured properly?
· Are all paths to directories correct?
· Does the machine have current updates?
· Does the user have permissions?
